Nelle Creations: Colour For Spring - Pastel Pink

As soon as I saw this dress, I fell in love. I think it was because it reminded me something that would have been worn in the movie ‘Blast From the Past’ and it had that vintage feel to it. The high neckline made it so easy to throw on a statement necklace and the low back adds a little sexyness to it. Business in the front, party in the back!

Extra Sparkles Please - Madame Moje is about to take over your world

If there is one thing that I love, it’s showing support for (local Designers) fellow my Canadians. I came across Madame Moje and almost immediately felt my heart racing. Yes, I have fallen in love and I promise you, you will also. Madame Moje is a Toronto based Fashion Design house, which gives off the feel and look, of Parisian Elegance (anything that will make me look like a Parisian Princess is pretty much a need in my books).

The founders of this amazing brand tend to focus on using trends of past and current (which is always amazing and you are guaranteed timeless pieces). When I am wearing amazing pieces I want people to look at me in awe… as if I am wearing a piece of art and with Madame Moje it is just that.

The art work they create (aka their clothes- DUH) are versatile, which I absolutely love. Personally, the fact that I can wear a lot of their pieces to an important work meeting and then throw on a pair of Louboutins and go meet my favourite ladies at the newest hot spot for pink martinis is a dream come true.

Another thing that has totally won me over is brand distinguished itself by being Made in Canada”, and this is itself is not very common.

So, how did such a talented brand even get its start? “Co-founder Malashnee Naidoo, born in South Africa, the creative director, as well as, her business partner and husband, Hamed Emtiaz started the Canadian brand after moving to Canada from Singapore in 2012.”

There is one thing I know for sure…We are going to be seeing alot more of Madame Moje and, let me tell you, I am more than ready for it. I haven’t seen lines, texture and structure in fashion pieces in a long while and now that its here, its about to take over the world.

Fashionistas unite! Madame Moje is now in Toronto and no one could be more excited about this than us!

Madame Moje is a Canadian fashion brand that plays on Parisian style and flair, with one store in Vancouver and now the second in Toronto. It’s a little bit provocative, a whole lot sensual and overall, very luxurious. We think it’s something that Zoe Saldana or Kerry Washington would definitely rock on the red carpet.

Now a little bit of background info on the designer behind Madame Moje: Malashnee Naidoo opened up the first shop in Vancouver with her husband and business partner, Hamed Emtiaz, in 2012 when they first moved to the city. She’s an accountant by trade but she always had a passion for fashion and design and so Madame Moje was born. Her brand hit the runway last March at the Fall/Winter 2014 edition of  Toronto’s World MasterCard Fashion Week and everyone’s been enticed ever since with Madame Moje.

Here are some looks from their site, but be sure to pop in to the Madame Moje boutique – now open – to see for yourself!

he first show on the runway on Day 5 of WMCFW, Madame Moje, had the audience in compete and utter awe. Vancouver-based label Madame Moje showed for the first time at WMCFW and featured knit separates, sleek jackets and figure-hugging dresses.

The duo behind Madame Moje, Malashnee Naidoo the creative director and business partner and husband Hamed Emtiaz, established the Canadian brand upon relocating to Vancouver from Singapore in 2012. Naidoo shares her style icons, which include Jacqueline Onassis and Victoria Beckham, and she finds inspiration in the works of fellow designers like Ellie Saab and Haider Ackerman. This may only be Madame Moje’s third collection but the outfits took our breaths away.
